چکیده
Abstract A mixed u–p edge-based smoothed particle finite element formulation is proposed for computational simulations of viscous flow. In order to improve the accuracy standard method, and face-based smoothing operations on displacement gradient are 2D 3D analyses, respectively. Consequently, spatial integration involving operator performed domains. The constitutive model based an elasto-viscoplastic allowing fluid or fluid-like solid materials. response modeled using overstress function. performance method (ES-PFEM) demonstrated by several numerical benchmark studies, showing excellent agreement with analytical reference solutions improved efficiency in comparison results from PFEM model. Finally, a application ES-PFEM simulation extrusion process during 3D-concrete-printing discussed.

Evaluation of Fracture Parameters by Coupling the Edge-Based Smoothed Finite Element Method and the Scaled Boundary Finite Element Method
This paper presents a technique to evaluate the fracture parameters by combining the edge based smoothed finite element method (ESFEM) and the scaled boundary finite element method (SBFEM). A semi-analytical solution is sought in the region close to the vicinity of the crack tip using the SBFEM, whilst, the ESFEM is used for the rest of the domain. As both methods satisfy the partition of unity...

متن کاملA Mixed Stabilized Finite Element Formulation for Strain Localization Analysis
This work exploits the concept of stabilization techniques to improve the behaviour of either mixed or p u / mixed u / ε linear/linear triangular elements when strain localization analysis is required. Different stabilization methods suitable for either Mode-I or Mode-II structural failure are proposed and compared to check the global stability of the corresponding discrete finite element formu...
متن کاملMixed finite element formulation enriched by Adomian method for vibration analysis of horizontally curved beams
Abstract: The vibration analysis of horizontally curved beams is generally led to higher order shape functions using direct finite element method, resulting in more time-consuming computation process. In this paper, the weak-form mixed finite element method was used to reduce the order of shape functions. The shape functions were first considered linear which did not provide adequate accuracy....
متن کاملExtension of a discontinuous Galerkin finite element method to viscous rotor flow simulations
Heavy vibratory loading of rotorcraft is relevant for many operational aspects of helicopters, such as the structural life span of (rotating) components, operational availability, the pilot’s comfort, and the effectiveness of weapon targeting systems. A precise understanding of the source of these vibrational loads has important consequences in these application areas. Moreover, in order to exp...
